Our Approach

Your journey to better health starts with a desire to reach the root cause of your health issues.  Nutritional therapy is a multifaceted approach to identifying and addressing the underlying imbalances which may be causing your health issues.  For example inflammation, immune dysfunction, poor digestion or a hormone imbalance.

Constantly learning through formal education and research, Debbie uses evidence-based nutrition knowledge which enables her to take the science of nutrition and the healing it can bring and make it accessible for her clients through nutrition and lifestyle plans.

Information Gathering

During your first consultation we will go through your health questionnaire and 3 day food diary which you will have completed in advance of your appointment. I take a full case history looking at your current health concerns, symptoms, diagnosis and treatment, medical & family history, lifestyle, and diet. We will establish your health goals such as boosting your energy, improving your digestive health or balancing hormones.

2

Understanding the Root Cause

After an in depth analysis, I will explain what I believe are the underlying causes of your health problems. My aim is always to get to the root cause of your health issues rather than just treating the symptoms. Nutritional Therapy is personalised and considers each body system (the gut, hormones, liver, nervous system, etc.) to see where the imbalances may be and why. Further investigation may be required via functional testing such as stool or urine tests – this can provide valuable information on what is going on inside the body.

3

Your Personalised Plan

We then work together on a tailored, easy-to-follow, safe and effective nutrition and lifestyle programme aimed at addressing your symptoms and improving your health for the long-term. Handouts and recipes will be given and supplements and tests may be recommended if appropriate.

You may be referred to other health professionals such as GP, homeopaths, acupuncturists, etc.

You will have access to my ‘practitioner discount’ for any supplements recommended.
